Making a purchase

Buying from our site could not be easier — just browse through our catalogue

• From our Home Page
• For Music click on St George's Selection
• For Accessories click on St George's Accessories
• For Escorial Edition click on Escorial Edition
• Then
  • Select a Category from the drop-down list; and/or
  • Enter the Word(s) which describe what you are looking for; and/or
  • Enter the first few letter of the Composer's name
• Click the Look or press Enter
• Scroll through the list until you find the item(s) you require
• Click on the Add button if you just require one; or enter a number and click on Add if you require more than one
• After you have finished selecting your items, click on Proceed to Order ... and you will be asked for a few details which we need to be able to satisfy your order

Shipping and packing

The packing charge is £0.85 onto which we add the actual cost of the postage. We always send by first class post (airmail overseas), if you would prefer 2nd class (or surface mail for overseas delivery) please let us know in the Special Instructions box on the How to pay page.

Delivery of your order

We deliver your order right away. All orders under 2kg are delivered by First Class Mail (or Air Mail outside the UK), whilst heavier items are despatched by Parcelforce. If your order is in stock it will normally be despatched on the same day.

Back orders

If the item you require is not in stock it will automatically be back ordered for you and supplied when new stock arrives. Please remember that we too are at the mercy of the publishers. You will always be emailed with an option to cancel if you would rather not wait.

Tax charges

Currently, in the UK, sheet music and books are zero-rated for VAT purposes (ie, attract no tax). Accessories, however, attract the current rate of VAT (17.5%). VAT, where appropriate, is detailed on your order.

Credit card security

We accept credit card payment by Visa, Mastercard, Switch, Maestro, American Express and JCB. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to be shipped. If you don't live in the UK your credit card company will convert the transaction to your own currency. You may send your credit card details via phone, fax, snailmail or over the internet.

The Card Security Code can be found on the Credit Card. There are four digits on the front of Amex cards, others have 3 on the reverse, for example:

We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the internet. All credit card numbers are encrypted using 128-bit encryption whilst going between the web server and your computer. During and after the transaction on our web site they are not stored on the web site computer – they are transmitted to us by encrypted e-mail. You will receive an un-encrypted e-mail which hides the middle digits of the credit card number just to help you identify which credit card you have used.
